Substance Addiction Treatment

Ibogaine Africa provides rehabilitative treatment to substance-dependent individuals using the most humane and effective methods.  Our values include allowing substance-dependent individuals to detoxify with minimal pain and discomfort, treating substance-dependent individuals with dignity and respect and using methods for substance-dependent rehabilitation with the highest possible elimination of the symptoms of drug withdrawal and craving.

What makes the Ibogaine treatment different to other treatment modalities?

Many rehabilitation programs focus to some extent on some form of suffering, because without pain it will be easier to return to addiction. It is seen as a sort of punishment for the addicts’ “weakness”.  We believe that, contrary to this, addicts are actually tough people, because they choose to pursue their habit in the face of overwhelming danger and social ridicule.  Certain treatment modalities have difficulties balancing the amount or power of treatment for the body (withdrawals and cravings), the mind (decision making processes), and the soul (spiritual issues).  Ibogaine is the most successful and humane way to achieve this goal, because it provides appropriate treatment for each individual, according to need, by turning the individual into both therapist and patient, and by removing most, if not all withdrawal symptoms and cravings for the specific drug.  No other drug can offer this without the potential of a secondary addiction.  Once treated, you can assume that a long standing friendship has been formed with the management and staff of Ibogaine Africa.  We will walk the way with you, give advice when asked for, because we have a passion for what we do.  Each patient is treated as a special person who has to succeed, no matter what steps need to be taken.  We embrace differences and understand that people are different, because differences are what make people loveable and interesting.  Being entrusted with such a life-changing event is an honour, not a task.

But remember, the real success of quitting a habit ultimately lies in the person wanting to quit.  Without the will and tenacity to see the attempt through, nobody will succeed.
